Thank you lostindustrial! I was ready to junk my 1.5 yr old mixer!

Thanks so much for this clear explanation! Just ordered my parts from Mending Shed. Most reasonably priced from my searches for parts.

Very helpful. Thanks for all the detail including where to find parts.

Great job on the video...it helped a lot. After tearing mine apart I found the vertical shaft pin was broken. With that said, if you are replacing other parts then I would replace the pin as well which was around $3.00 + s/h.

Excellent DIY. My only critique would be actual footage on applying the grease to the tranny. I know you mentioned two tablespoons but the application of it on to the gears set would have helped even more. Kudos on an otherwise informative and helpful video.

thanks
Thanks for sharing. My 600 pro recently stopped working when making a loaf of whole wheat bread. Does the repair you did enable the mixer to handle making whole wheat bread dough or will it just over-tax the machine and strip the gears again? No point for me to do the repair if the machine just can't hold up to regular use.

@LeanneMG1 Not sure.. it only replaces the gears with similar metal gears and a metal transmission case. All I can say is that mine is runnung fine still and I have made bread.
