A choreographed version of the popular Scottish dance taken from Highland Dance Boston's concert at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center in June 2007. Dancers (in solo order): Jen, Robert, and Karen.

This is a really great choreography of the Sailor's.  Very impressive dancing, and all split high cuts at the end! Well done! You're an inspiration to the rest of us :)

Now I shall set out to learn this dance, So that whenever I hear "Sailor's Hornpipe" play (which will be more often that you think) I will, as an entrance to a room, or out of no where, bust out this saucy jig of the ship. HEE-YARRR!!

It is a scottish highland dance hornpipe, the one that they are doing.

I've read that until the 18th century Royal Navy captains could order hornpipes to be danced to keep their sailors fit. The idea of battle tested sailors doing this on command amuses me.

polite much ? There MUST be a more decent way to say it...Irish, Scottish , British... It is a fine tune, a great choreography and those are skilled dancers. End of discussion and aggression. *Hits fist on table*
