In today's episode of What's This Food, Daniel Delaney looks into an often overlooked cut of meat: oxtail. Yes, it's the tail of an ox, but what do you do with it? He answers that question and cooks up a delicious braised dish. Today's sponsor is Xquisit Fine Foods: http://www.XQuisiteFineFoods.com

  • Can this be done in a pressure cooker and how long would it need ti cook?

    Thank you,

    Monica silverbullet527@hotmail.com

  • @silverbullet527 Pressure cooking really depends on the pounds of pressure that your cooker goes to. For this, I would start out with an hour of stovetop base cooking once you've reached your pressure lock. If it needs more time, just simmer it stove top afterwards and adjust for the future.

  • you want us to know you have a dentist? what's with the toothy ENUNCIATION?

  • I liked how you baked them! Great job!

  • haha my family makes oxtail all the time. were Jamaican xD

  • I made them just today, i did a traditional french style braise on them, they tasted good and all but its kinda redundant to use oxtail when i could have used any kind of pot roasting meat, and had a lot more sustinance, but worth the try :)
