Groovy remix by Simon Law and Lee Hamblin, from the b-side of a promo 12" of "You Are In My System". I also posted the remix of "System" by Eric Kupper, also on the b-side:

You overwhelm me
When you move your body next to mine
Won't you tell me
How you always know what's on my mind

It's a fever you know how to soothe
And a calm contentment
Only you can get to

You overwhelm me
Oh babe I think you look so fine

I may be turned around
You show me the way
I may be tired of trying
You show me the light of day
My imagination is fired
I had only dreamt love could be so inspired

You overwhelm me
When you move your body next to mine
It's a fever you know how to soothe
And a calm contentment
Only you can get to

You overwhelm me, baby
You fill my soul with desire
Only fools aren't afraid to be burned by fire
You overwhelm me
When you move your body next to mine
Won't you tell me
Oh babe I think you look so fine

You overwhelm me yeah
Won't you tell me
How you always know what's on my mind

  • Wasn't expecting that! Very nice. Ironically, I have been playing the original a lot these day's, usually coming back from gigs in the wee hours. So after 30 years from the original release, it's nice that certain tracks can have a remix with loops and can still sound great. Thanks for sharing

  • @Archosking I can't find a year, but since the vinyl contains the "Addictions Mix" of "You Are In My System", I assume it is from 1992. I like how they gave it a 70s disco feel.

  • Always genuinely overwhelmed.

  • Quite nice but a bit leaden...could have been a bit more creative and less of a stomp?

  • Really, really nice :-)

  • @Archosking

I also listen to the original at least once a week, it first took on significance for me when I was walking through the streets of Reykjavik at 3.30 in the morning after coming out of a club as the sun was out and the streets were empty..........and it was the last tune I heard after leaving the club with a great looking Icelandic girl............great memories

  • I really adore this. Brings back great memories of me and a babe in my green morgan!
