I watched this movie with my family my parents introduced this movie to me at the age of 7 so Ya it is very touching and true

@geetarnut Oh I think there are such a lot of us who get emotional when we hear these wonderful songs. It 's caused by a mixture of our memories of gentler times gone by and appreciation of songs which had melody and lyrics worth listening to!

@geetarnut I to was six when I saw this movie in '58 and I remember the neighbor mom took abunch of us kids to see this movie-her daughter my best friend. But then her mon took us to a lot of things including swimming lessons. Her daytime job-school bus driver!

You hit the nail on the head. Too many people don't have the same taste as we had back then. Beautiful musicals, dancing & great voices. I have so many but they are in storage. Makes you're heart ache to hear such beautiful musics & voices. But I have to tell you I am a Johnny Contardo fan. Great voice. He still has a great voice!
