In the Soviet Union, Armenians, along with Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Georgians, Germans, and Jews were judged as "advanced" peoples.

@varaztad don't pay attention to these right wing nationalist nuts. Even if we tell them the facts-how after the great victories of Andranik they sat around the table with turks and sold our lands in treaty of batum, they still would close their ears and say lal la la la la whatever.... that's how ignorant they are not to understand that It was durin soviet era when we gave such great people as the composer of this anthem and many other great people were the result of soviet culture.
