One of the founding locos of the ESR has returned to it's former home. This will be my only East Somerset Railway video for this year.

Grandfather and Grandson. A 60 year age difference but as alike as two peas.
If you don't believe what you see, then you have to: it's true, and you're seeing it.

  • I am jealous but i have sat in the cab of the Flying Scotsman

  • So have I, back at Railfest in 2004. I've also been on the footplate of the Hogwarts Express.

  • Yup, it's a real engine, played by a GWR Hall class locomotive.

  • To the end of the line. Then someone else tok over. I got to drive it back into the station, as you can see.

  • So have I. I sat in Flying Scotsman's cab and it was a wonderful feeling. I love that engine.

  • o and just to let you know, the biggest steam locomotive i ever had a cab ride in was a climax so it is pretty small compared to the black prince

  • isnt the Black Prince usally used for heavy freight trains

  • they have the same kind of engine called the evening star

  • was this just a driver experience or are you a volunteer or both :)
