  • @chon4186: Well, actually the odds of being 50/50 are only correct if there's only 2 variables. With something such as remote viewing, where subject A attends random location, and the alleged psychic draws a description of random location, the percentages become a lot more complicated.

Scientifically though, I think to prove that something is a theory, the results need to be reproduced over and over again. So if a psychic does it 4 out of 5 times and misses the 5th time, then what?

  • @Scalarburn

I have seen many of his shows and this doesn't seem to be the case. In most situations the odds of being correct are 50-50 at very most, so getting an accuracy of 75% would be pretty good and they would continue the experiment until that percentage either went up or down to gain further evidence. I'm not 100% sure but I believe he allows people to view his results on his web page, you should check it out.

  • @GhostAholics

You don't prove something is not real in science you fuckwit, you prove stuff is real. You cannot prove that ANYTHING is not real. Can you prove that I do not have an imaginary dragon that I can ride on only when nobody is looking and he is also invisible? NO. Because the burden of proof is on the person making a claim. So, I will give you $1,000,000 right now if you can prove I do not have physic powers that tell me that psychic powers are fake. Use your head, moron.

  • @chon4186: The problem with James Randi's controlled experiments, I think, is that Mr. Randi would probably would expect anybody claiming to be a psychic to get their results with 100% accuracy. If a psychic goes into a controlled experiment and their results are 75% accurate, what happens? Does Randi dismiss them? I wish Randi would actually post his test results for us to see what actually happened in the studies, for us to make our own deductions.

  • @GhostAholics

You're an idiot and your assumptions are laughable. What in the fuck are you even talking about? I can hardly tell because your sentence structure is garbage. I never mentioned physics. I mentioned a controlled scientific experiment. The whole field of science revolved around using tests and experiments to find truth. Their proofs are peer reviewed and the experiments re-done thousands of times before even considered to be written into a scientific theory.

  • @GhostAholics

This is some stupid fucking show, it is not a controlled scientific experiment. Every controlled scientific experiment any "psychic" has taken part in have failed to prove their "powers", period.

"Evidence or FACTS" are a dime a dozen, but proof found inside of a controlled scientific experiment much more credible and also tends to expose any charlatans for what they really are, too bad they are all are fakes and frauds.

  • @chon4186 - and since when has it been proven that psychics are NOT real? Where's YOUR burden of proof? Oh, that's right, you have NONE, because all you're doing is using bandwagon arguments that you've read and seen others using, without looking into the subject yourself. You're nothing more than another James Randi fanboy - I find it funny that you would believe in 1 MAN like him, but ignore the 1000's of others who are happy to prove him wrong! Change your name to IGNORAMUS, it'll suit you!

  • @chon4186 - You didn't even bother to watch the entire show did you? Because if you had, you would have seen the FACTS come to light on what this psychic did! People like you - the ones who don't know what they don't know - are simply annoying to the those of us that spend years researching this field. And my name Ghostaholics is merely representative of my website dumbass! Keep your head in the sand and don't bother replying until you take the blinkers off and do some research instead of none!

  • @chon4186 - oh look! Your return argument is JUST THE SAME as all the other fuckwits out there!! Do you know about the Scholes Experiments? The Institute for Psychic Research? No, obviously not moron. Otherwise you wouldn't be asinine to make a pathetic comment like "nobody has demonstrated any psychic abilitiy in a controlled scientific environment"! James Randi is a scheister! Pure n simple! He HAS been proven wrong but has that money tied up in red tape! Do YOUR research idiot!

  • @GhostAholics

Take a basic logicistics or debate class so you will understand how your first sentence is rubbish. The burden of proof is on the one making extrodinary claims. So far, nobody has demonstrated any psychic ability in a controlled scientific enviornment. Because of that I have no reason to believe it. Also if they were true, why havn't they won James Randii's $1,000,000 prize yet? P.s. it's hilarious that this is all coming from a guy named GhostAholics lol
