Man that sound is so authentic. That heartbeat is going to be known as an iconic sound for the best mini-series ever.

I felt so astonished and hipnotized the first time I listened to that music( and film...) , back in the 80's... So great!

Wow..I use to watch this untill they started the series then it got stupid. But yes a classic!

I totally agree. It got stupid right after the final episode, but damn it was great before that. Marc Singer was THE MAN.

I was just saying to my chica when we watched the debut of the new V that they really have lost something between then & now...The new one is going to be good, I am enjoying it immensely but dies anyone remember how long the exposition took in the 1984 version? I don't think you saw lizard skin until well into the 1st season...in the new one, since everyone is used to instant gratification, the entire plot was pretty well mapped out in the 1st two episodes...

Yeah! I always remembered that tune from all others, that eerie percussion and synthetised strings...
