@WildFlowersCA A parrot is a wild animal, but you can have that as a pet.Snakes, ferrets,chinchis,etc,etc. There all wild animals. Whats the difference. I have had all sorts of wild animals as pets and had great sucsess with them. Are the bats in my attic pets or wild animals?

@WildFlowersCA We weren't planning on keeping it. We were just relocating it for some friends.

Its a wild animal and shouldn't have been kept - you should have found a sanctuary they would care for him until he was older then release him. I know someone that had one and once it was older it tore the house up - the fella kicked him down the stairs and broke his leg - raccoon's are adorable but not meant to be kept as pets.
