Volkswagen has overtaken Toyota as the number-one automaker in the world. GMs chairman Ed Whitacre doubts the company can go public next year, even though management has been saying it would. A woman in South Korea gets her drivers licenseafter 950 tries. All that and more, plus John answers viewer questions about Toyotas floormat problem in the You Said It! segment.
Consumer Reports claims on their YouTube channel that a modern Toyota Venza lacks the braking force to stop itself under full throttle. I've read somewhere else that it's because engine vacuum that assists the brakes cannot be built up while the throttle is floored.
But shifting into neutral still works.

despite my general dislike for the toyota motor company, I completely agree w/ your statement about not accepting our own responsibility. It is so true. We are getting dumber and dumber as a society and we need someone to blame. Who can I sue for americans idiocity?

I think you are absolutely correct that America is "sue happy". "Whoops I rearended someone while talking on my cell phone..." "Let's sue T-Mobile, they didn't tell me NOT to operate my cell phone in a motor vehicle, must be their fault." My personal favorite is the lady that sued McDonalds because she spilled her coffee in her lap. AMERICA, this is why our insurance is so high, THESE people.
