I was doing about 10 reps/session and I was doing about 5 sessions/week. Sometimes I did a session every day. I don't think you would really need to do all of that.
I have stopped training the running with her though and gone back to 2o/2o b/c she was:
1. getting too high in comp and still missing her a-frame.
2. peeling off of the dogwalk early
3. Her teeter was getting too sketchy. It was like she was trying to RUN it, and sometimes it worked ok for her and others it scared her.
Just curious... why is the box so high up on the Aframe? I was thinking with this method that it should be directly over the contact zone, not a few inches above it.
I haven't watched your other videos so maybe you explained it there. :0)
Also, don't forget to add cross behinds and front crosses to your list of things to practice!!
I am doing this to try to get her to make sure she is only doing 2 hits on the way down. According to the DVD, if you have a dog that wants to add a 3rd stride in practice, many times it will leave it out in competion - which Cheetah tends to do. By putting the box slightly higer on the a-frame, she gets used to the 2 hits & then I will gradually move it down to the normal position. I will most likely have to do this each time I raise the frame up. I will practice crosses once we are at 5'6"
Me curious too.... how many reps do you do in each training session and how many times to you train this each week?
