Cinema 4D - Smoke [Voxel Simulation]

Video of a small, short simulation and render test with the new (beta) plugin "Turbulence 4D" for Cinema 4D by jawset. I think it turned out quite cool :-)

In first intance, the goal was to test said plugin.

For a long period of time C4D didn't come up with any plugins (PyroCluster sucks donkey-ass, realflow takes ages, it's particles eat up your RAM in seconds and it's nearly uncontrolable) to compute/simulate near-realistic digital smoke effects (like FumeFX for 3D Studio or Krakatoa for Maya). I think times have changed...
...What's your opinion ?

Simulation: ~1.5 hours
Rendering: ~1 hour
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2,2 GHz

I'm sorry but I can't show you how to use the plugin, nor can I make cinema4d tutorials!

Question, did you use the pyrocluster and a emitter for this? Becuase this looks waaay more realistic than the overkill little clouds i get (and tutorials show me exactly what i did)

i thought you meant the pre-installed turbulence effect but this is a really awesome plug-in!!! :D

sadly enough i will use the "learn" edition hence 400€ is a little expansive for just a hobby :/ downside to this version is the HUGE logo in your screen
