INTRO:
V8 star Jason Bright has revealed a secret weapon he has been trialling on his Team BOC Holden.
Many people have been impressed with the pace of the Team BOC Commodore so far in 2011 and Bright has now revealed a crystal clear reason why he has been challenging for race wins.
PACKAGE:
V8 Supercars are at the forefront in using new technologies and innovations. Team BOC driver Jason Bright has been one of the standouts at the opening two rounds in Abu Dhabi and Adelaide, one of the reasons is a new windscreen that uses prescription styled glass.
Bright has been wearing glasses for the past few years and believes the AF 01/04 prescription windscreen is a huge leap forward.
JASON BRIGHT - Team BOC
So that Bright is fully familiarised with the prescription windscreen, he takes it to team meetings and providing feedback on the AF 01/04 is as important as the car itself.
JASON BRIGHT
News of the prescription windscreen had travelled up and down the pitlane. Former V8 champ and Bathurst winner John Bowe is envious of the technology and even believes others have been using it for a few years.
JOHN BOWE - V8 Legend
One of the issues with the windscreen could come at Bathurst when Bright will need to share the car over 1000km.
JASON BRIGHT
Come Bathurst we will see if it works --- or come October people might look back on this date and understand why the prescription windscreen is called the AF 01/04.
Billy Connolly had a stand up skit about a prescription windscreen years ago!
