  • i know this is an old vid, but i can't get over how much i love this character

  • @ArtOfAnime1 Thanks! Ahhhrrg... You don't even know how much I want to work on the story and use him the way I envision. Most of it is planned out mentally. I just don't have the time yet. I'm hoping after the current project is finished... I hate making promises I can't keep. But it's not going to be taken down from my TO-DO list any time soon.

  • why do you use poser?

  • @gammabun Many reasons. It is super efficient for saving your animation in a library for use on any character at any given time. And you can edit all animations on the same timeline instead of having separate animation clips. And it makes it very easy to import mocap (bvh) files, take the parts you want and save em. There are many limitations that can be frustrating but in the end it allows more to get done faster. I still use Blender for modeling/texturing though.

  • @ShaneNewville Blender 2.55 Beta has great time-saving tools for animation, but Poser is still easier to use.

  • @FantasyJam Yeah, Blender still wins with it's tools. Graph editor especially. But there are things about Poser that are mega time savers. There really is no perfect software. And even if there were humans are imperfect so it wouldn't matter anyway. JUst gotta use what works best for you flow. I was very hesitant to start using Poser since I've been a Blender loyalist for years. I keep getting less time to animate, so hit a point where I need to change something or I won't get anything done.
