L`Arc~en~Ciel, ("The Rainbow" in French) -is a Japanese rock band, formed in 1991. The group has sold over 13 million albums, 16 million singles, and millions of other units, including videos, and are among the most influential artists in the Japanese music scene, over their twenty years. It is unusual for a Album, Single, not to go straight to No.1 on the Japanese charts, in fact it's the norm.

Personally, I find their material very addictive, due to the quality of their song composition, performance excellence, variety of ideas, ... always the melody will catch you and not let you go.
As a guitarist , "Ken" is one of my favourite players, in the world ! - adding beautiful sound and innovation of all guitat effects available to him. Always a new surprise from this maestro of the guitar, this Rock Solid Band, song after song.
Also known as Laruku, P'unk~en~Ciel.
P'unk en Ciel is their "Alter Ego's". They change instruments, and basically sound like a garage band :)
Each member has their own personal band outside of L'Arc en Ciel.
