Cal Trans tried to bypass Longshore Labor by bringing in a ship to pier # 7 in Oakland, Ca. from China. The material on the ship is for the construction of the bay bridge. It is a commercial vessel that was docked at the terminal. This becomes longshoremen jurisdiction. We have been doing this work for 75 years. Do you see how this government of ours starts a war between different labor unions. We had over 100 Oakland police officers in riot gear and SWAT teams ready to attack the working class people. The ILWU who loads and unloads the goods, food and supplies for people all over the world. Cal Trans a government agency wanted the iron workers and operating engineers to unload the Zhen Hua 19 knowing that is it longshoreman work and then call the CHP and Oakland police dept to back their play. Your government at it's best.
