It should now work on the iPhone 3G perfectly and iPhone 3GS with the new bootrom as tethered! It can also thether jailbreak MC Models meaning that if your serial number starts with MC then you're good to go, I think this is iPod touch 8GB 3.1 OOTB.... Good luck

If you were having problems with the first release of BlackRa1n then I would recommend trying this version. GeoHot has added a lot of bug fixes that should hopefully fix the problems that you were having....

Guys don't waste your time on blackra1n. Seriously, I got that asl.dll problem when i updated itunes and i searched everywhere for a solution but it was not blackra1n that saved my ass, it was Spirit. My IPT 3G got stuck in recovery mode since blackra1n is tethered for that version. So i found this program called Spirit, it jailbreaks all ipod touches, iphones and even ipad UNTETHERED!

so it jailbreaks your device untethered! just search for "spirit jailbreak" on youtube!
