Queensland celebrated its sesquicentenary in 2009, 150 years of independence since separating from New South Wales.
As part of the year long celebrations, the Queensland Government organized a steam train to travel the length and breadth of the state, visiting more than 30 communities.
In this video we see BB18 ¼ 1089 in charge of heading the southern portion of the Q150 Steam Train as it continues its journey from Stanthorpe, eventually arriving at the Queensland/New South Wales border town of Wallangarra.
After the formalities we see the train making its return journey back to Stanthorpe and Warwick.
