  • A typical 1993 MR2 Turbo weighs 2950 lbs with a partial tank of gas. An MR2 na weighs a little less. 91-92 cars are also slightly lighter than 93+

  • @vortex2450 edit, it was really close to GVWR post conversion

  • @slednecks207 We have a super tight budget, we didn't get a dime from the school system (go figure). IIRC the car was 700lbs over stock GVWR. It gave us a consistent 50 miles/charge, the class this year is in the middle on installing lithium ions which will drop a ton of weight, give almost twice the range and offer some more kick. I wasn't with the class during this conversion but partake in converting our 01' Ranger. The Ranger is unbelievably clean, maybe I'll get the teach to post a video

  • should have bought a carbon hood and other panels for that beast and try to lighten up the car after putting all those batteries in. Not sure of the budget though. You had like an extra 1000+ pounds. Looks great though, how far does it get on one charge?

  • Nice, I wish I could do a conversion here in SF CA.

  • That's pretty bad ass. Sexy MR-2 too! 5 stars!
