At one of the many free family programs at the Art Institute of Chicago, young people and adults create a rangoli, an Indian art form, with bits of colored paper, over a 5-hour period. The project took place in the Art Institute's Ryan Education Center in celebration of Diwali (the Indian "Festival of Lights"). Visit us at www.artinstituteofchicago.org to find out about more free family programs at the Art Institute of Chicago.
