Following on from his BAFTA-shortlisted Panorama programme Taking on the Taliban, Ben caught up with 24-year-old Lance Corporal Jack Mizon of the Queen's Company, Grenadier Guards.

Jack was a hero in Afghanistan, honoured for his bravery after his involvement in some of the fiercest fighting in the territory that left two of his fellow soldiers dead and many more seriously wounded. But back home in the UK Ben found Jack struggling to readjust to civilian life and frequently involved in fights near his Aldershot barracks.

Ben followed Jack's exploits for two months in Afghanistan and then back home as Jack was charged with assault and GBH, stripped of his rank, and faced the prospect of four years in a civilian prison.

@freakydevill I've got nothing against muslims, just those disgusting PIGS who protest at funerals/homecomings of our brave soldiers.

My advice to them is that if you don't like how we do things in the UK, then get the fuck out of here and go back to Pakistan or whatever hellhole you're from.

This doc reminds me a little of Hell and Back Again. They are both about a soldier returning from war and having trouble assimilating back into civilian life. Both seem to want to be back in the military but are unsure if that choice is right. bit. ly/yYsv5o
