Balancing issues. Artillery is not my main concern, my main concern would be along the lines of how badly they are getting scooped for wargear and unit costs.

Honestly I havent read the codex, but from what ive heard from you. I agree that they took away the whole theme thing. I two love playing themed armies, cause they are fun to play. I mean isn't that the point of this game, to have fun??

haha very funny but true they do make more warbands and legions are derazored I dont mind both warbands and legion as long as legion is more in charge by killing maining and burning takeing plants not chiling in the great eye be out there like all the primarchs if I spelled it right there deamon princes have huge legions at there command but all they do is sit on there ass only one did anything arggon of the world eaters but he died and got banished for 100,000 years =/

as an ork player i can safely say that they are great fun and very flexable, and i have yet to see 2 ork armys that are exactly the same

Also another point I would like to bring up. In second edition the chaos codex and its supplements were close to 500+ pages of rules. Now this is a frist for this edition so i never expected to get all of choas into one book you can not do it and it will never happen. there is to much Chaos for one book. Then again I doubt there are full rules on all the craftworlds for eldar, I doubt there are full rules for the different marines chapters in the space marine book.

So when the story for the past 13 years has been raiding imperial outposts and ships and what not. Also I know at least 7 people that play Tzeench and word bears they seemed more over played then Iron warriors. Ya people WANTED to play them but couldn't figure out how to use them correctly. I personally think you are bummed cause they didn't make them what you wanted. I mean they made Chaos almsot to what they were in 2nd edition which from the sound of it you didn't play.

Hey everybody loves iron warriors! Well ure right about the rules. I was gonna make a pimped out iron warrior army filled with basilisks and servo arms but they had to take it away. And the gifts of chaos! what happened to that? Now they're pretty much space marines with horns that say 'I'm a follower of whatever god they follow' without having dedicated rules. Well im happy with the rules of the terminators though it used to be confusing as hell. I hope the IG codex won't let me down.
