Liked the video. Just a little story. I went out drinking in Chicago one night and accidentally got off the train in a bad neighborhood. While trying to walk out police stopped my friend and it. They thought we were buying drugs and didn't care to hear our story. I was basically beat up. In cuffs face squeezed looking down my throat, head shaken. One cop bent my thumbs up as high as possible while in cuffs. I hadn't done anything they let us go and I walked home. Many cops are thugs.

Police officers took a oath to serve and protect the public, they work for us and have to answer to us. not Citizens or civilians they have to answer to the public. the public is a free space, and calling your self a Sovereign being you are letting the police know that you know your free rights and believe me they already know this.

Right on, we are Citizens and by Law, we are also members of the Militia, we are the ultimate authorities in America. When ever the Military or Police call us Civilians, they are abrogating our Rights and Authority as Citizens and they should also be corrected by us and be reminded that they SERVE US, WE DO NOT SERVE THEM OR THE STATE.

This is exactly why I want a discussion before I join, or not. I don't have time to play games, my loyalty is no game and neither is the example that I try to set for those youngsters around me. Right is right, that is why I volunteered to join the military rather than wait to be drafted, yes the draft was in effect in my day, I served more than 30 years ago, never once have I wished that I did not serve (I do bitch bout the chow though).

WHAT? I'm not talking cryptic, so don't be cryptic! Six months and this is the best you have? Is Oath Keepers so lame that they don't have time for a simple discussion? I knew all bout the Army when I WENT in. By the way I wasn't drafted like 90% of the men who were standing in that room, I looked to it as an honor and my duty. Now before I put my name to anything I want to understand it first. At this rate I'm not about to join a bunch loudmouths and dreamers!

@starfiremale - You don't need to join some club to act honorably & stand up against wrong when you see it. Based on a couple of the responses in this thread, I wonder if some of their members are more concerned with being right, rather than doing right... which is ultimately what it comes down to.
We are all brothers & sisters in this fight for freedoms... and we are all on this sinking ship together. Talk to those like minded people in your area... Think global, act local.

You do not need to actually "Belong" to the "OATH KEEPERS" organization to truly be an OATH KEEPER. All you have to do is be willing to take personal resposibility to defend the Constitutio of the United States and keep others from destroying it or from following any of the Orders that an Oath Keeper will not obey.
Remind them that the excuse of "we were just following orders" resulted in a lot of hangings for "War Crimes" and that they are NOT exempt. Remind them forcefully if need be
