Modifications to the exhaust include: downpipe, K&N FIPK, and custom piping to a Magnaflow 1 in/2 out muffler to dual tips. Kind of a crappy video but it's being used for information purposes because people keep asking me about the exhaust on my car.

  • @jinxplyr actually true dual with an X pipe is the best setup, although difficult to do with the drivetrain

  • What model number was the magnaflow exhaust? I was thinking of Flowmaster super 44 but i like this sound better as it isn't too loud.

  • @Jamishxc24 not really, this car uses the flow from the front exhaust to speed up the flow of the second creating a vacume that forces air out quicker than a dual can. a true dual both exhaust manifolds have their own individual header and piping while this one only has one header with two down pipes. less weight and higher flow than a dual.

  • @jinxplyr oh wow really? thats pretty shitty actually

  • @Jamishxc24 thats mostly true, but not all cars gain power from it. some lose it. the 3kgt loses power with a true dual. thats why a true dual has never been put on a 3kgt, only y pipes or a single in dual out.

  • @jinxplyr true dual exhaust loses power? actually its the opposite of that

have a true dual exhaust would increase the amount of air your pulling away from the engine and would help it breath better increasing horse power...thats why people do full exhaust, not just for the sound but for the performance gain bro

  • @Jamishxc24 because if you do a true dual it loses power and ther isn't enough space for both pipes and the drive shaft

  • why do most people use a y-pipe for the exhaust on the 3kgt?

  • Man, great sound! In all honesty, did you look at my video before getting your exhaust done? It's the EXACT same set up that I have (only difference is I have a Catco high flow cat and Flowmaster tips). Haha. But yea, these cars sound very mean and unique when they have an exhaust job thats done right. In the lower RPM', sounds like a V8. In the upper RPM's toward redline, sounds like a Porsche. =]

  • Sweet sound. Growls just enough without sounding annoying. =)
