production notes: shot on sony cx520 which often overexposes even with ae shift on. In this case with 200 clips, Final cut only worked with avchd via apple pro res 422 conversion in easy set up & sequence settings which makes oversized memorywasting files. HDV setting works sometimes, but this time it stuttered (due to 200 clips?). Apple pro res export file is too big for youtube ( 250mb avchd= 2gb pro res=2.5 gb per 3 minutes!) and the exported quicktime conversion set to hdv 1440x1080 says "medium quality" with no obvious way to improve it. audio setting defaulted to 128 kbps, may have made it 192 which may cause lag? anyway this is the hdv export. conclusion: in this case applecare recommended appleprores422 import since hdv import was stuttering, but next time import at hdv if it doesnt stutter since export at hdv.. rather than waste memory. for archiving imort at prores or hdv?

@jvorus sony cx520 16mbps but it overexposes sometimes even w/ ae shift on. just got the 550e, seems better but at highest quality setting (24mbps) it says no dual record photo & no avchd disc backup so there's always restrictions & may have to stay at 17mbps.
