Stop the BP oil leak in the Gulf with more drilling!

"Junk Shot" was a good idea, but it needs help. The junk blew right out because there weren't enough obstructions in the kinked riser pipe for stuff to catch on. My solution is to drill through the base of the pipe and insert metal rods (or leave the drill bits), forming a grid pattern to catch debris. Then re-try the junk shot, starting with big stuff and progressing to smaller and smaller items. Comments welcome!

I say let it spill collest all the oil form it in to tar balls and give it to the tabaco companys and they can use it in there cigeretts the make. people thats smoke will use it all up. theres tar in ciggs anyway right, problem solved. ur welcome.

I had this exact same idea before I came across your post. It just seemed obvious that you can't blow a lesser pressure liquid against a greater preassure liguid and expect results. You can't work against the forces of nature you have to work with them. Even a beaver knows that. Too bad you or I or somebody else can't reach the powers that be a litlle easier. Kinda late now. BP would be wise to make a easier, faster and more convienent way to gleen some common sense ideas from the public.
