  • Hi, How do I add normal things like: time, address book, and safari to my speakable folder. MIne has nothing, so it won't let me add anything

  • @bluesquaretatt2 Oh... thats already preset for you

All applications are automatically speakable. Simply say:

"Switch to Address Book" or "Open Address Book" or "Launch Address Book"

    etc.

To ask for the time say: "What time is it"

To add something other than an application... select it in Finder and say "Make this speakable"... thats it!

  • thanks man !!

  • @bluesquaretatt2 Thanks for the reply. I tried what you said to do, but it didn't work because my speakable items folder was empty. So, I created a new "test" account to see the folder would be empty there as well, and it wasn't . I copied the folder items into an external drive, then I deleted the "test" account and there it was back in my speakable folder. Now it works fine, and I can add new things. Thanks for your help!

  • Yes, you need iSpeak or MacSpeech though.

  • can you use voice command to "type" a search into google?
