I like the shelter as is. I don't think I'd put a vent in the top. Thats where all the heat would escape. If you have a fire in it yea. Great 5 star vid.

Thanks for posting this. IMHO, you missed 2 big things... First, you need to have a vent hole in the top... It helps with fresh air circulation, and could save you from suffocating/hypoxia if the entrance caves in while you're sleeping.
The other thing is a cold-well. Cold air will sink into the lowest part of the shelter, if you're up on a shelf, you will be MUCH more comfortable.
Did you happen to spend the night in your shelter?

@TheMNcamper where i am the snow has been melting quickly. When I made this I had a bit of a head cold and didn't want to get any worse. I would love to stay in the shelter, so I'm hoping that if another big storm comes I can expand the cave and stay a night.
