Dear God people, the reason this machine is important is because it is demonstrates some of the lowest level logic gates, which is the basis for digital electronics (this means your computer!) And without that logic, you wouldn't have the computer you're watching this on now.

I loved this video. It would be amazing if you managed to make a multiplying or even dividing machine using the same principles. You could solve your little segmentation fault beyond 63 with some memory unit coupled to your machine. Great video!

and also this vid is very true its a calculator a true calculator but y didnt you go for the full 255? couldnt you have added 128 and 64? and opn that note... can you make a logic gate out of wood??? heheh i love your vids and im a loyal subscriber

Six was bits was enough to illustrate the concept. There's other problems with adding bits - you will see once you built it.
