In this video, I answer a question from @pantz04 - http://twitter.com/pantz04 who asks: Will Blu-Ray make DVD obsolete like DVD did VHS? This is a hard question to answer since there are so many factors. It's not fair to compare it to VHS since the factors today are different. Today we have a wild card called digital downloads. This could hinder (or possibly help) Blu-Ray's goal of owning the market. With HDTV still sitting in a niche market, it's still a steep uphill battle. Hope that answers your question, @pantz04

  • the thing about streaming is that you usually dont have the option to stream in full hd, as blu ray you do-- alough streaming should dominate

I'm not "acting like bluray is my god or something". I'm giving Blu-Ray as much credit it deserves and defending it against joevictor53's piss poor arguments.

I insulted him because he was blunt, ignorant, and clearly has an agenda, that's it. You have nothing to do with this.

  • @bluest0rm97

I wrote replies to his comments, I wrote as much as I needed to.

It's not that nobody agrees with me, he obviously has an agenda, people should see the difference, if they don't then they have sub-par eye sight. This isn't something to agree on, it's fact, the sky is blue and 1080p is sharper and clearer than 480p. The only way it can look the same or worse is if his eye-sight is poor or if his TV is poorly calibrated.

  • @brendude95 I really think you gotta shut up. DOn;t start bashing on people and spamming the comments just because no one aggrees with you! You seriouslly act like bluray is your god or sometihing! And don't start tellin people they blind and pathetic just becuase they can't see no difference! Go fuck yourself.....

  • all you guys are loser piece of shits fucks who are gonna end up like this piece that of shit io

  • @brendude95 I'm ending this here. I'm obviously trying to argue with an 8 year old who thinks it's cool to swear, insult people and have a temper tantrum and that somehow that'll make their point any more valid than someone elses. Reply if you want but I have better things to do than argue with some random kid

  • @joevictor53

Yes, not that many people know about Blu-Ray and the benefits that it brings! And yes, you are under-exaggerating, the quality difference is the same as the jump from VHS to DVD, if you can't see that then I recommend you fuck off to the nearest opticians.

I don't know your motive, but you are clearly a Blu-Ray hater, can you get any more pathetic?

  • @brendude95 I'm not under-exaggerating it. You're over-exaggerating. I mean "not that many people know about it"? That's just BS. But you'll see in a few years. DVD will still be around and won't be beaten by Blu-Ray the same way DVD beat VHS.

  • @joevictor53

Once again, Blu-Ray ISN'T advertised enough, not that many people know about it and not that many people know about the quality difference.

Stop trying to underexaggerate the quality difference in Blu-Ray, it's pretty big.

  • @joevictor53

Like I said, I can see the difference on a 19" screen at a fair distance. The main difference that DVD bought to VHS was much better sound and less "noise", the actual quality increase wasn't so huge.

The jump from DVD to Blu-Ray is worth the extra money, nobody is being forced to buy into it, they are given the option to have better quality movies, that's it. If they do get a Blu-Ray player, they can watch DVD's on it too.
