We stand before a gateway, the dawn of a new age.
But we mustn't let our rage be the hand that turns the page
be what secures us in our cage...of mental slavery.
we need bravery, the sort that almost never exists.
But if we persist to learn and grow,
then one day we will know and have full ability to show
our children that we can live in a world without pain, acid rain,
...or nuclear snow. But who would hear me though?

They say that the world from I came is of the delusionally insane
that you can't rid the world of this, it will always be the same
But I believe that we can be our own light. To make a stand for what we believe is right
in a utopia where everything we dreamed that could be? ...just might.

We each can be a philosophical demonstration, a spiritual illustration
that ALL men...were created equal.
Regardless of whether you come from riches or rags
Whatever country's flag or stereotypical tag...they label you with

It is almost a forgotten quote that a great man once wrote:
"All wars are civil because all men are brothers."
There's absolutely no reason for us not to love one another.
We all bleed the same color, and that's red.
And I wouldn't be caught dead preaching a lesser philosophy instead.

May the willpower of peace never shatter, break, or bend
I refuse to believe that the wounds of history can't mend
That it's wrong for varying cultures to blend
That we can't bring forth the equilibrium of men
That we can't ascend
from our hypocrisies, and bring war to an end.

I write poetry as well. Sort of stuck within the rhyming scheme. Its like therapy for me. Friends think I'm pretty good at writing. I wrote a poem for this guy I was with and he thought I copied and pasted it! I was heartbroken of course!!! :) just a little story from me to you.
