Burnst Live at Blank Media Presents Birthday Gig.

Burnst are an instrumental rock trio that dont sound like Explosions In The Sky. They fuse occasional heavy riffs with long passages made up of complicated drumming, clever bass and twinkly guitar lines, never forgetting to include a pop melody. You might say it was a mix of Owls, Don Cabellero and Billy Mahonie. Maybe Yes and Converge are also detectable influences. Burnst have been playing together for 7 years and have only made 5 demo cds, so you really need to try and watch them live if you are at all interested! In that 7 years theyve played with the likes of Do Make Say Think, Pedro The Lion, Lite, Brandt Bjork, Crippled Black Phoenix, These Arms Are Snakes, Kong and many better bands you may not have heard of.
