Scream 5 hits theaters july 2012

@wrestler5534 How do you know that Scream 5 will be in theaters on july 2012. Did you read it somewhere, is it official? I haven't heard anything official by Dimension Films.

@wadai2 I don't know. But if a script is ready by fall then they might start shooting in summer of 2012. That is if Wes, Neve, Courtney and David are on board for Scream 5. Then the movie might be released in early/late 2013. It all depends on how fast Kevin can complete a script. Also how soon Dimension Films wants the movie to be released. :)

@MrFunnynate yes, there were rumors about it being in 3D. Dimension Films asked on twitter what fans thought about Scream 5 being in 3D. I think they are just getting feedback and fans opinions to see if they like the 3D idea :)

I still think if "Rio" hadn't come out the same day as "Scream 4" it would've done better at the box office, but still it was #2 in the box office and that's still good enough for them to do "Scream 5"

@AudioBookBoy12 It didn't do poorly at the box office, per se. It's just that $100 million was a bit underwhelming compared to $160-170.

Wes Craven says that "Bob Weinstein wants to do another one. He tends to do what he wants to do." And that "I'm sure it will happen in the future." He and Hayden also thoroughly teased at Kirby surviving.

In my opinion scream the first one was the best because as it was the first it was an element of surprise, so maybe for the 5th (which I hope they do coz I love scream so much !!!) they should ask teenagers and adults what scares them the most and put that into it coz you have your element of surprise
