This is a video of an an arrangement I did for the annual UofL Halloween Concert, featuring the Danny Elfman score from 'Beetlejuice' as well as the song 'Jump in the Line' by Harry Belafonte that is featured in the film.

I had a lot of fun doing this and I think the players enjoyed playing it. (And from the looks of it, the conductor had a good time, too...)

Please let me know what you think!

P.S. Sorry for the ending. Stupid battery...

  • This is FANTASTIC!!!! Man I need to go to the orchestra during Halloween for this! They made a perfect blend of "jump in the line" Dang I'm jealous you got to be there while they played this!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!

  • @boingofreak Just for reference, you have your Harry Belafonte songs mixed up. That was "Jump In the Line" that they played not "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" but either way the bones were jamming.

  • that tambourine player in the back is GETTING IT!!!!! LMFAOOO!.......I absolutely loved this!

  • Awesomeness! Loved the complete arrangement and appreciated the trombones belting out 'Day-o'! Danny Elfman and his Orchestrator (and guitarist for Boingo) Steve Bartek would give a thumbs up for the arrangement. Have you considered arranging Edward Scissorhands? I know it's not really a crowd pleaser, but it's a gorgeous piece of music Danny wrote. You can definitely do it justice.

  • OH PLZ tell me were you go the sheet music i cant find anything!! OH PLZ TELL ME btw you guys did great.
