The crew and scientists who went up on that flight not knowing whether it would break up in flight or not had balls of steel. A slim chance admittedly, but nevertheless......Jesus.

To allow the Comet fly again without first determining the case of the Yoke-Peter accident was a criminal act as far as Im concerned and one that was to be repeated by McDonald Douglass some years later with the DC 10, and in that case with the full complicity of the FAA

I love all the "proper" British accents here. "Automatically" pronounced "Orter-METI-cerleh" at 4:20. Very interesting to see the early investigations into the problems with the first ever jets. Thanks for posting!
