Two bass drums,, well it's a matter of preference. It really doesn't matter from in front of a kit , ( audience), but I find both ways equally fun for different reasons. The feel is different on both accounts but equally fun. Anyway, this guy is cool, but reminds me of myself when I am drunk. He's probably about my age too. (50).
My playing is sloppy and disjointed when I am impaired, much like this fellow. Don't mean to be cruel. But he is selling teaching material. Wow, really?

Nobody needs two bass drums!
But like the so much air in move when i play my two kicks! :-)
Mostly on gigs i play double pedal, easier transport!

hey, man i see you are using a pinstripe front head on the kick... it is really limiting the sound. I know you are old school but I would recommend an Ebony Powerstroke 3 front, it will make your kick sing! If you have a pinstripe on the batter too, I would recommend putting a Clear Powerstroke 3 on with a falam slam, the clarity of the kick will increase.
