@rythemdeep I don't really know what types of violin are sold in the UK. If you can get a Sonata, they are quite OK for the beginnings.

YEAH,...glad I found you & your videos on learning to play the violin. I just bought one so I could teach myself. I do have musical training(played the flute since I was in the 5th grade) so I figured I would try it. I just got my mendiniin the mail.I am waiting on my husband to check the mail for my books. I am so thankful for you tube. would have been nice to have it wround when I was young. Looking forward to your teachings along with others on here. Thanks for sharing.

Its very clever to name the strings so you don't forget. Also very clever to use plucking to teach you how to position hand, and body. You are a very good teacher, and thanks for your time!!
