This is where they went wrong. They tried to show how horrible life was in the slums of India, and they did a good job, but they made tons of money off of this and did not donate one bit to any fund that would help children living in this situation

i think it won coz west loves to see poverty . Also they havent seen manmohan desai's movies (70's) and also saleem javed. Also it gave a sense of pleasure that oh third world countries still lack i just hope they never get to know wat real india is so we will catch them soon :D rest God knows :P lol I dunn think it got a good response in india

It does not have a better plot!
Slumdog is like no fuckin plot that hasint been seen in awhile and before you judge i suggest you see both bfore jugding you arragont batman lover why was batman epic huh?? name a diffrent story line that we havent seen before dick!!

Dark Knight is sooooooo much fucking better than a fucking indian kid who wins a million fuckn dollars and gets a bunch of hoes and dances around like a fuckn monkey. Is America that retarded? Dark Knight was so epic and has a much better plot and Heath Ledger as the Joker. All I can say is WOW.

no your wrong it was just a good movie that everyone enjoyed and if you didn't think it was oscar worthy your bull shittin cause no other film came CLOSE to entertain as this one. This is the only one that didnt make me look at my watch unlike benjamin button.
