'Country of Origin' and 'GMO' labeling of food products

Considering all the new events concerning Canadian beef and Chinese imports will you support the use of "Country of Origin" and "Genetically Modified Organism" labeling?

An example of a GMO is when scientists spliced a gene from a jellyfish into soybeans so the beans will glow at night when the soil is dry.

The EU has required labeling of all GMO food products for years and there has been no adverse monetary effects for farmers or the industry.

BTW,
What happened to the days when a farmer would actually feel the soil to see if it's dry? ;-)

To the CNN political team choosing the questions:

I started with a question about Country of Origin labeling as I'm sure all candidates will say they support it. Then I asked them the GMO question so if they don't support GMO but do support COOL they look contradictory on food safety...I'm hoping to get them into a corner so please choose this question ;-)

Great questions. Some people see these methods as advances in science. I think politicians need to wisen up about our land and the direction of food development. I know you've seen those new vertical farms that stand 6 stories high. What type of dirt and pesticides are used in these farms. What about genetically altered bees that can withstand these pesticides if pesticides are going to stay.

GMO or genetically modified organisims are not God-given organisms. I see what you mean about COOL, it means 'country of origin labeling'. GMO is satan's seed.
