A Guide Dog-in-training negotiating a simulated obstacle course at Guide Dogs Centre Glossodia, Sydney.
Potential Guide Dogs spend months training at Guide Dogs Centre from 12 months of age, where is is determined which dogs have what it takes to graduate as fully-fledged Guide Dogs.
At 0:40 the dog just goes directly around the obstacle. Here in Finland they have to stop before the obstacle and show it to the user (if going around it will take them off the path).
Maybe its just a different way of doing things or is this some special case?
I think its just a different way of doing it.

My third boy is probably doing this very same training as we speak. What remarkable dogs they are and what a privilege to be a part of their lives.
