Someone posted a message to this video telling me "there are no volcanic rocks on San Gabriel mountains." I dont' see that comment posted here so it was either removed or it's still in the pipe.
In fact there are volcanic outcrops mixed in with the metamorphic granite and the sandstone all through the San Gabriel Mountains. One can climb up along the San Andreas Fault line visible from the Crystal Lake USFS Visitor Center and walk among a mix of volcanic, ancient sea bed, and granite.

It's neat seeing a gross exhibition of the general errosional patterns in the volcanic uplifts, not so nice seeing the devistation caused by pollution and beetle infestation.
On the plus side, all them houses built on top of the alluvial planes at the base of the mountain will eventually be destroyed, killing all the people living in them, and crushing their penis of approximately half. LOL! }:-}
