@LittleRedCyclingHood As Rod is retrieving his lure a fish either swims by, bumps the lure and it hooks it's self or he (unintentional) pulls it onto a lieing fish.

yeah i use crocodile spoons in the pink color also for coho and chinook but they do work better for pinks

Yes, for coho particularly we've had good success with silver/copper/golden spoons, but if the water clarity is poor, pink, orange coloured spoons work just as well for coho.

What type of lure or spoon were you using when you caught that samon?

Any spoons or spinners in the 1/8 and 1/4oz range would work for pink salmon. We use 1/4 Gibbs Croc spoons in pink, orange, green. Search Gibbs Fishing on Google for more information.
