This Khmer classic has everything needed for a great blues song - a tender and soulful voice, a great arrangement, and a kick ass band.

  • the way he control his voice in this song is awesome, so soft.

  • Cambodian blues is the best, it really captures the mood of the country. Sinn Sisamouth is also great, he has a clear silk voice but a hint of sadness behind it.

  • It's a great song with awesome video to go with it. The song evokes a scene of a downpour at Phnom Penh port, in the 60's (people used to take boat rides up the Mekong to northeastern provinces in the 60's). Thanks Jeff, for all your wonderful contributions.

  • Jeff,

I am Khmer American. I'd like to say thank you for posting this great song, Mr Sin Sisamouth was undisputedly a legend. I don't understand why Khmer artist today can't really sing as good as him and the band isn't as good as the band from the 60's. I can't figure out. Furthermore, a production company like Chhlangdan takes Sin Sisamouth's song and add extra stuffs like drum, keyboard; it drives me nuts. Why can't they make their own music?

  • Buh Nic Nah Min Jeh Sdab Somlang Loke SSS, Tov Hoc Khnong Tuk, Huy Hail Cheamuy Puok Mahk. LMAO....

I Think i said if you dont like SSS's Voice, Jump In The Water And Swim With Ur Friends...Haha

  • Khmer oldy music is getting known outside cambodia and to khmer new generation, I would highly encourage those of you who are perfectly fluent in english and in khmer to translate it into english - it would be great in a peotic way - so we can preserve and let non-khmers speaking to understand and appreciate it.

I'm sure Jeff wouldn't mind to paste it on the right hand corner. Hopefully, someone out there will hear me and grant me this wish.

    Thaaaaaaank you in advance
