That winter coat hides alot- he is very thin. He has no chest- very narrow- but still no reason to be this thin. Last owners excuse was that she bought him at a sale- She was not free with information on just exactly how long she had this pitiful gelding-I will update with new video's in about a month- maybe more. She also CUT off his forlock before we picked him up because she was too lazy to brush the sticker weeds out-- he also has a ton in his tail in the video(which have now been removed) and he had them INSIDE his ears-- ouch---PLEASE SEE BEFORE AND AFTER HOOF VIDEO

  • poor guy :/ how is he now?

  • Poor baby. I'm glad you took him. He is very cute though :)

  • Poor Baby

  • free feading hay? never heard that term before do you mean there is alway's hay available for him to eat? was the lady charged and if so anything come of it yet? and finaly maybe a rhetorical question but why do people get these animals if they don't want to take care of them?

most important though it's nice to know your willing to put the time and care into him instead of taking the easy way out and sending him to a kill factory. in short you gained a fan.

  • Unfortunately there always have been neglected horses and always will be. My TB mare was one of those "just couldn't leave her there" cases. The owners thought she was in god cond. but her feet were untrimmed and she was thin. After almost 1 1/2 yrs. of rehab/therapy I got 6 mos. of riding before having to retire her to light duty. But she has found her forever home :) Good for you for helping him.

  • Looks like you need to get busy and take care of the horse. Sounds like you had seen it before you purchased him. Unfortunately there are many horses in that condition due the the economy. Lots of groceries and I'm sure he will be a nice horse.
