I'm sorry, I should have been more clear; I never denied that it was a good idea. I was merely insulting the entirety of the world for requiring such an organisation as a means to emotional satisfaction, ironically achieved through material goods...

to the last commenter...that is why RED is such a good idea. people in this world are selfish and generally aren't going to help others unless they get something out of it. unfortunatly, most people aren't satisfied with just good feelings.

Basically, you're mitigating your guilt; you don't need iPods or some stuff they sell. This is certainly a good cause, but it is merely an expression of how much more we care for our own happiness than true altruism.

Just to educate you a bit since you obviously need it. "World Wide" means the whole world. Look it up although you may not undersand this since it's written in English not netspeak :). People right here are dying every day they need help too and that's where my money goes kiddo.

How selfish of you. Why does it matter where the people are located? They're people. Besides, there is a higher concentration of AIDS in Africa than in the US. Wouldn't it make sense to help as many as we can?
