Richmond Spiders Football App. St. Stuns UR 35-31

App. St. Came to Richmond and scored a dramatic game winning TD with 10 seconds left to defeat the defending FCS national champion Richmond Spiders 35-31 to advance to the FCS semi finals. In the see-saw 4th qtr. the Spiders appeared to have a comfortable 24-14 lead with 8 minutes remaining, but the Mountaineers scored two quick TD's to go up 28-24 with 3+ minutes remaining. A miraculous Spider TD on a punt return turnover put the Spiders back up by 31-28 with just over 3 minutes remaining. The Mountaineers drove for the winning score from there.

Even though you lost yesterday, you have to admit THAT game was exciting... you guys had me nervous the whole game. Both Richmond and App are great teams, it's just Montana's year.

Minus one group of tailgaters you guys were fantastic hosts! What an epic game... I can definitely tell this is going to be a rivalry for some time to come. Good video clips, I was curious how loud we were on the other side. A new stadium should be good for you guys... that stadium is frankly the oddest stadium I've ever seen (design).
