@DilbeardAlbeard Nope...wrong. 99% of Chinese living in Thailand weren't considered Thai until 1969. General in Thailand of Chinese descent was basically anti-Chinese. Lots of racism in Thailand long ago...there were anti-Chinese movies in Thailand. But Thai king forced many to change their names after 1969 in order for them to be considered Thai -- hence the long, long names were created.

@xenez The song is sung for the teochew residing in Thailand. Fyi, there are a lot of Teochew doing businesses and is of native to Thailand since more than 500 years ago. And, most important thing is that the Thai people has long accepted them.
