(US Gold, 1989)
Once again King Arthur must take on and defeat the evil forces in his kingdom in this, the sequel to Ghosts 'n' Goblins. A simplistic platformer, you jump around, avoiding obstacles and traps, while shooting the various nefarious supernatural monsters that come at you from all directions using a variety of weapons. Large bosses have to be defeated at the end of every level and as before, you only have your set of knight's armour and your pants to protect you! It looks only slightly nicer than its prequel but it lacks that game's excellent music and original gameplay. If anything, it's not the conversion of this game that makes it poor but the actual arcade original itself.
I dont remember seeing that many guilotines in the arcade version.

Apart from the intro screen this is garbage compared to the C64 version

The intro music is quite good indeed, almost as good as the C64 SyD version...
Oh and the game is in Full screen...But the Arthur's Sprite is shitty.

Commendations for having included so many of the attack waves and special scenes from the arcade (though I'm not too keen on what's become of the level 3 platform ride), and the Tim Follin title track is an obvious plus ... but what has happened to the rest of Tim Follin's music? Just for that (and for having normal scrolling, rather than this Hobgoblin-esque once-screen-at-a-time lark) I shall be sticking with my C64 version, but interesting to see this one. Thanks for posting. :)
