The Original Sock Mod Tutorial for Rock Band Drumkits

For all of you wondering how to do it :)

This was something I ended up with after trying to make a better "tape mod": as far as i'm concerned, this is the hands down, best mod for QM's.

If you use this mod and it helps you out, comment about it: a lot of people are still skeptical that this works as good as it does, so yeah.

NOTE: This is not an endorsed or officially supported mod by Harmonix, this is just something I came up with on my own.

@clayton998 tape is what i originally used in the first version of this mod: tape compresses the pads, but it also transmits vibrations between the pads more, meaning you'll get crosstalk between the pads if you only use tape.

the socks dampen the vibrations and crosstalk, getting the benefit of compressed pads without the downside of increased vibration on each hit.

@LucaCava94 Okay, but this isn't about real drums. Similarly, I wouldn't go on a video about having to tighten my drum heads and say "My rock band drums don't need to be tuned", because that would be pointless, just like this comment is.

@jordanandcody126 I feel like playing real drums has helped me to get better at RB drums, even hitting bass between notes is pretty easy, especially compared to my skill before I started to play real drums.
